Privacy Policy

Fraidy (package name com.paguoqi.app, "the App") helps you record household and personal items and their expiry dates. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: your email address and display name (from Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, or email registration). For email accounts the password is stored only as a salted hash; we cannot read your plaintext password.
  • Content you create: items, batches, expiry dates, categories, and household groups with their members.
  • Device data and identifiers: a push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) used to deliver expiry reminders, and the Advertising ID used to show ads.
  • Diagnostics and analytics: crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) and anonymous usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) to improve stability and the experience.
  • Camera and photos: photo recognition runs on your device by default and the photo is not uploaded. If you turn on "Use cloud AI recognition" in Settings, a downscaled copy of the photo is sent to our server and processed by a third-party AI recognition service to extract the name and expiry date; it is used only for that request and we do not store it. You can turn the feature off at any time.

2. How we use it

  • To provide and maintain the App's core features (inventory and expiry tracking, to-buy list, household sync).
  • To send reminders when items are about to expire or have expired.
  • To show ads that keep the service running.
  • To diagnose problems, fix bugs, and improve the product.
  • To keep accounts and the service secure.

3. Household sharing

When you create or join a household, its members can see the items, inventory, and to-buy list shared within it. Only invite people you trust.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Apart from sharing what is necessary with the service providers above (such as Google and Apple), we do not give your personal data to unrelated third parties unless required by law.

6. Deleting your account and data

You can permanently delete your account and all personal data at any time:

  • In the App (recommended): open Fraidy → Settings tab → scroll to the bottom → Delete account → confirm. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
  • By email: if you cannot sign in, write to noreply.purchaselist@gmail.com with the subject "Delete account" and the email address you registered with. We complete the request within 30 days.

What is removed: your account (email, name), the items, batches, expiry dates, and categories you created, your device push tokens, and notification preferences. If you are the only member of a household, that household and its inventory are deleted too; if it has other members, you leave it and its shared content stays with them.

Retention: after deletion we do not keep your personal data, except where the law requires it (for example necessary transaction or audit records).

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit with HTTPS and passwords are stored as hashes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Advertising

The App shows ads through Google AdMob, which may use the Advertising ID to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit ad tracking in your device settings. See Google's advertising and privacy information.

9. Children's privacy

The App is not designed for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are reflected on this page along with the "Last updated" date above.

11. Website

Our website (fraidy.app) uses Google Analytics to measure visits and traffic sources. The data is aggregated and anonymous and is never linked to your app account. You can opt out in your browser settings or with Google’s opt-out add-on.
